BEN JOHNSON: TO CELIA

I have been asked to record a series of poems and the first is by an English playwright named Benjamin Johnson (looking for all the world like a young Tom Baker in this portrait), published in 1616.

I must admit that appreciation of poetry is something which has so far eluded me to a greater extent so I am grateful for the practise and a chance to read some of the better-written works which are being sent to me.

I will be uploading more as I record them and 'To Celia' can be heard here.
