A series of four audio documentaries has been produced chronicling the history of Rhyddings Park in Oswaldtwistle and is now available to stream and download.
In 2017, Hyndburn Borough Council began a full restoration of the park to its Victorian heyday following a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery for over £2m and one of the conditions was to fully document and record the renovations in a series of audio visual programmes over the following three years.
However, late in 2020 the company who were contracted pulled out and I was asked to produce the series instead. Following a very intensive period of writing and recording which involved some fascinating research, the result is a four part series which chronicles the history of Rhyddings Park from its early beginnings in the 1500s to the reopening in 2017.
